(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, July 16, 2015 ) Hillsboro, OR -- Water, a resource required by all forms of life and greatly taken advantage of. Nations around the world struggle for consistently clean water for their citizens. For Americans, access to water has never been an issue. That is until recent droughts in the west have caused many to change their lifestyles. The people of California, for example, are asked not to water their yards and to use as little water as possible around the house such as when taking showers or washing dishes. The water line for lakes have severely dropped as rivers become streams and streams become dried-up rock beds. Many believe this to be due to the American lifestyle in global warming. In fact, much of the west has been affected by droughts such as Colorado and New Mexico. However, the case becomes very different when it comes to Oregon.
On a recent trip to Bend, located in central Oregon, lakes, rivers, and even streams appear to be at an all time high. Many roads have even been closed due to flooding. Although several Oregonians believe this to be due to the melting of glaciers and snow from the nearby mountains, it is clear that much of the water is provided by natural springs and rain. The forests are carpeted by new vegetation and the sounds of wildlife can be heard nearly anywhere one goes. It appears that global warming has had little effect in central Oregon.
With such abundance in wild life, people are flooding central Oregon to take advantage of the gorgeous scenery. Whether it be hiking, boating, fishing, backpacking, kayaking, rafting, hunting horseback riding, camping, or whatever else one might come up with, central Oregon appears to be the hot spot of the west this summer. All may seem well, however, this poses several problems in the ever evolving world of technology. Local companies have spotted the trend and are coming up with new and intelligent ways to protect one's personal and beloved devices.
GunJoe is one of these companies. Located and locally operated out of Hillsboro, Oregon, GunJoe specializes in Apple Watch protection. Gunnar and Joseph, the founders of GunJoe, noticed how easy it would be to scratch one's Apple Watch while taking advantage of the outdoors this summer. Currently producing transparent Apple Watch cases, GunJoe has come up with a design that both protects one's Apple Watch from everyday impacts while keeping the case slim and tight, maintaining the watch's original shape. Their case is currently available on Amazon.
Central Oregon is just one of the many places currently thriving. Although drought is clearly present in much of the west, there are still several locations where one may wish to take advantage of the beautiful outdoors. From backpacking to rafting, the possibilities of what to do are endless. However, companies such as GunJoe wish to remind everyone not to forget to protect all personal devices.
